Dr. Hernberg empowers people to adopt scientifically supported lifestyle changes, become free of chronic diseases and age gracefully.  At Tomorrow’s Wellness Center, Dr. Hernberg uses food as medicine to achieve optimal health. Individualized wellness plans are determined by the use of sophisticated body composition analysis tools, laboratory tests, physical examination and a comprehensive review of medical history.  Dr. Hernberg’s state-of-the-art model for optimal health uses medical foods, behavior counseling, acupuncture, herbal therapy, stress reduction, and high-quality micronutrients. People who feel better often want to look healthier and reduce the signs of aging.  Dr. Hernberg uses LASER and light therapy to help rejuvenate skin, diminish wrinkles, soften sun spots, melasma and acne scaring, improve skin tone, and tighten lax sagging skin.

Dr. Scott Hernberg received his Bachelor of Arts in Microbiology with Distinction as a Henry Rutgers Scholar from Rutgers College in 1976.  In 1980, Dr. Hernberg earned his Doctorate from the College of Osteopathic Medicine and Surgery in Des Moines, Iowa, and completed his Anesthesiology training at Washington University, Barnes Hospital, St. Louis, Missouri in 1983.  His postgraduate education involved training in Traditional Chinese Medicine including studying at Chengdu University, China. Dr. Hernberg is licensed in New Jersey and Pennsylvania to perform acupuncture and has achieved further recognition for advanced studies in Acupuncture Detoxification therapy.  Dr. Hernberg’s continuing education includes intensive studying with leading experts in the fields of Botanical Medicine, Functional Medicine, Integrative Medicine, Light Medicine, and Nutritional Medicine.

Dr. Hernberg is Board Certified in Anesthesiology and a Diplomat of the American Board of Anesthesiologists.  Dr. Hernberg has held clinical academic appointments at Washington University of St. Louis, Missouri and Temple University of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.  Past President of the New Jersey State Society of Anesthesiologists, Dr. Hernberg has served as an advisor to the New Jersey Board of Medical Examiners and the New Jersey Department of Health. Dr. Hernberg was the Chairman of the Department of Anesthesia and Perioperative Medicine at Atlantic City Medical Center from 1991 until 2003 and former president of a successful ambulatory surgery center.  Dr. Hernberg is a trustee in the American Association of Integrative Medicine, a member of the Institute for Functional Medicine, American Academy of Medical Acupuncture and American Society of Bariatric Surgeons.  Dr. Hernberg was instrumental in bringing gastric and cardiac bypass surgery to Atlantic County, NJ.  Additionally, Dr. Hernberg pioneered the personalized treatment of tobacco addiction in Atlantic County, NJ, and is actively involved on a local and national level to fight tobacco dependence. Recently, Dr. Hernberg and Tomorrow’s Wellness Center, was selected as a Center of Excellence for Lifestyle Therapy.
